New Shoes. Sort of.
I have a problem. Seriously. Its a shoe problem, an addiction really, and it’s only happened just recently.
Until my wedding, 2 years ago, I hadn’t owned a pair of shoes worth more than $40. Since that time I’ve sort of fallen off the deep end. It’s like I hadn’t realized these cobbled treasures existed.
So herein lies the problem. I love shoes, but I’ve cut myself off. It’s an expensive habit. Since that time I’ve been looking for ways to sataite my appetite. Enter stage right “crappy leather flats.”

I purchased these shoes for my honeymoon in the bahamas. They are super comfortable and I do really like them for that reason. But lately they’ve been looking a little…tired. The leather got wet and is a little discolored. I really wanted to “Refashion” them and eventually I settled on spray painting them gold. Would this work? I wasn’t sure, but I could remember my mother spray painting my ballet slippers when I was a kid. It was worth a shot.
First I taped off the soles and then I started in with the spraying!

And here’s the final result:

Look out! I just got a *NEW* pair of shoes for the cost of some gold spray paint! What will I spray paint next? Who knows.
My New Blog
Well this is it. It only took me about 4 months to get myself together and get it done. I’m really going to make an effort to post more often on this blog, and with a new camera and ne blog publishing software, I think I’ll be able to do it. Check back for updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
